An exciting career opportunity exists for an accomplished Human Resources Business Partner based at the Hulamin Rolled Products in Pietermaritzburg. 

The core responsibilities of the position include: 

  • Provide a recruitment and selection service.
  • Provide a training and development service to line managers and employees. 
  • Facilitate the implementation of Performance management.
  • Execute employment equity strategies.
  • Implement talent management strategies.
  • Facilitate implementation of the 3R project
  • Implement HR policies, procedures and systems.
  • Apply remuneration and benefits philosophies, policies and structures.
  • Apply guidance and support on employee relations.
  • Management of costs allocated to HR budget.

The requirements for this position include:

  • High (EQ) Emotional Intelligence, (Personal Competence and Awareness; Social Competence and Awareness),
  • A tertiary degreed qualification in Industrial Psychology / HR Management
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a HRBP role.
  • High energy levels, ability to engage with the business and develop relationships.
  • Good administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to see the bigger picture and to manage several tasks simultaneously.
  • Being self-motivated with good people and communication skills, written and oral.
  • Being a team player with the ability to interact with and influence peers in management.
