Zanele is currently a director on boards. She is a Board member of Sasol Khanyisa Public, Sasol South Africa, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, Rand Water and Adowa Properties. Zanele previously served as a Board member of amongst others, the Development Bank of South Africa, Philafrica Foods, Small Enterprise Development Agency, National Advisory Council on Innovation and South Africa Bureau of Standards. Zanele previously held key senior management roles and was the Head of innovation and Head of Strategic High Projects at the Industrial Development Corporation. She founded and was the Managing Director of Freewi Technologies.
